New York State Championships (Results)

NYCHSAA completes the three-peat, dominating the 2012 State Championships.

Fordham Prep. repeated as State Champions, capped by a 1st place finish in the 200 Free Relay and an incredible tie for 1st place and breaking the State Record in the 400 Free Medley.

St. Anthony's Christian Yeager was the New York Metropolitan Catholic League's sole individual champion, winning the 200 IM in 1:49.06.

Fordham's Patrick Conaton had an outstanding meet, finishing 2nd and resetting the Catholic State Record board with a 49.97 in the 100 backstroke.

St. Anthony's Jack Volpe was the NYCHSAA's only diver to qualify for the State Championships.  Jack completed a stellar career in the NYCHSAA, as he was named the  Lester Schloen Diving Award Winner for career achievement and finishing 22nd in the State Championships.

Fordham Prep. dominated the 2012 Championships, capping off a perfect dual meet season.

St. Anthony's Christian Yeager won the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke events, breaking the CHSAA State record in the backstroke en route to winning the Tom Booras Award as the Meet MVP.

Christian also received the Jack Kennedy Career Achievement Award. 

Fellow Friar Jack Volpe won the Lester Schloen for career achievement in Diving.

Meet Preview

2012 dual meet champion Fordham Prep. will be led by Patrick Conaton, Brian Hogan, and Joe Eiden into the 2012 NYCHSAA Championships.

Iona Prep's Charles Barry is looking to make a mark at this year Championships as are St. John's Travis LeGuyader  and Xavier's Pat Kilgallen.

Chaminade's Emmett Johnson is the defending champion in both the 50 & 100 freestyles, but expect big races from Iona Prep.'s Darin Gillenwater and Mark Schoenherr.

St. Anthony's Christian Yeager returns with back-to-back wins in both the 200 IM and 100 back, but watch out for Fordham Prep's Declan Kennon at this year's Champs.
